Whole Film Synopsis


A teenage girl, (15) Megan leaves home with a backpack. She goes out on to the street and walks towards the bus stop. She reaches a post box which she posts a letter into and then walks on towards the bus stop. She gets on the bus and falls a sleep. She wakes up and the bus is at its final stop and it is night time. The bus driver tells her to get off and asks if she is lost. She says that she is going to visit her grandma. When she gets off the bus she is in a small village. She walks around and sees a small children’s park. She goes in and sleeps in the little climbing frame which has a sheltered part to it. She wakes in the morning and comes out from underneath it. A mother and young child are walking to school a son is stalling behind and kicking his heels. Megan goes back underneath the climbing frame and gets out her purse which has one £20.00 note in and one £10.00 note in. She then gets out a creased picture of her mum and dad the crease is down the middle of the picture. Her tears run on to the picture she wipes her tears from the picture then her eyes and puts everything back in the bag. A man Mark sitting at a bench across from her watches her as she comes out from the climbing frame she quickly runs back in it. Mark comes towards her and says that he is sorry he wasn’t trying to frighten her he was just sitting regaining breath from his morning jog. He introduces himself properly when she has come back out from underneath the climbing frame. He offers to take her to a local café for breakfast. She accepts and they go to the café. At the café he says that he knows a friend with a spare room she can stay in if she needs shelter. She says she’s alright but when he says that his friend is a B&B owner she then accepts but stating that she only has £30.00. He says that he will pay because he does not like seeing young people homeless or on the street. She accepts and spends the night at a B&B. Mark goes to the B&B that evening and takes her out to a local restaurant. Mark returns 2 days later and says he wants to take her to the beach that when ever he felt down the sea cheered him up. They go and have a day at the beach eating ice cream swimming etc. On their way home they stop at a hillside car park. They look over the hillside and at the stars. He then takes her back to the B&B and says that he’s going away for a while and that he hopes she’ll be ok. A week later he comes back and says he’ll take her out and so takes her to the town centre for a shopping spree. On returning to the B&B Mark helps her to take some bags up to her room. He then forces himself on her and they have sex. He threatens her not to say anything to anyone and leaves. The next morning Megan gets her bag and leaves the B&B Mark is waiting outside with a car. He asks if she needs a ride she declines and continues to walk down the road to a telephone box. She looks in her pocket for change when another man Josh comes in to the phone booth with her and takes her hand. He then leads her back to the car and sits her in the back. They drive off. Josh then begins to ask the girl where she is from, when she does not answer he starts trying to touch her she then says that she is not from around here and that she has run away from home the two men look at each other and continue to drive. They eventually reach a run down building. The men take her inside and place her in a room where another girl is being kept.
